Green Hill Park, Worcester, MA

One day after the triplet, 26 players gathered at Green Hill Park for the Doublet championship of the Northeast region.  Temperatures had cooled drastically overnight and sweatshirts were not shed until the sun rose high in the sky.   After 3 games each, 13 teams were reduced to 8 for the elimination round while the remaining 5 teams went into the Consolante tournament. 

Green Hill Park was a hub of pétanque while several simultaneous doubles matches raged.  

Action from the final match.  As the sun went down the shadows on the terrain lengthened and the temperatures cooled again.  Above "Ti" Meas again demonstrates his prowess as tireur.
